As Ashleigh's older sister, Jennifer showed the way and supported her through life's ups and downs. Ashleigh followed her lead, wanting to be a part of everything her sister did, from reenacting "Fiddler on the Roof" and dancing to "New Kids on the Block" to joining high school clubs and community initiatives. Today, Ashleigh continues to follow her sister's lead as they have both become strong, independent women who are passionate about their work and family.

Max is Alex's younger brother and only sibling. Despite their nine-year age gap, Alex and Max have always been the best of friends and come to the rescue for one another when life gets wild. The brothers have a mutual appreciation for soccer, world travel, and the art of fine perfumery. Max lives in Allen Park, Michigan, the city in which both grew up.

Karri and Ashleigh have been friends since elementary school. They spent many hours together doing homework, making brownies, and going on adventures. Over the years, life took them to live in different places. However, no amount of distance or time spent apart impacted their friendship. They have been like family to each other and are lifelong best friends.

Jay and Alex have been friends since freshmen year of undergraduate studies at Albion College. They are both members of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity (Omega Chapter) and are proud alumni. They also share the passions of soccer and good music (Jay has been a positive influence on Alex's current tastes). Jay is the current archivist for the University of Michigan's Athletics Department, and he resides in Ypsilanti Township, Michigan.

Erik and Ashleigh became good friends while they were both attending Oakland University. They spent many hours together engaged in late-night philosophical debates, playing disc golf, and bowling with friends. As a result of all this shared history, Erik has been anointed "The Dude" by close friends.

Patrick is Alex's first friend, going all the way back to the first grade. Patrick and Alex both attended St. Frances Cabrini Elementary School, Middle School, and High School, grew up one block away from each other, and remain close to this day. They, too, enjoy sports, travel, playing disc golf, advanced skiing, and the occasional trip to the shooting range. Patrick is an electrical engineer and resides in Livonia, Michigan.

Megan and Ashleigh have been friends since kindergarten. They both met in Girl Scouts as Daisies and stayed together to their senior year as Ambassadors, selling cookies and taking trips & adventures throughout the years. In school, they both took French class, played in the band, and made homecoming court their senior year! Their families have been good friends for over 30 years!

Alex met Stefan during their sophomore year at St. Frances Cabrini High School. They almost immediately became close friends and share that friendship with groomsman Patrick Gyetvay. Alex and Stefan enjoy the outdoors, cycling, travel, and engaging in political activism. Stefan is an app developer and resides in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Avery is Ashleigh's niece. She's is now a middle schooler and an artist at heart who loves to explore new activities, including softball, swimming, dancing, playing the piano, and cooking. She's also a talented artist who loves to craft, style hair, and do make-up. Avery is excited to be a part of this special day and to have Alex officially become her uncle!

Carter is Ashleigh's nephew, and amazing, sweet little 7-year-old with adorable glasses and high energy. He is beyond affectionate, giving endless smiles, thumbs up and laughs to all around him. He loves pretending to be Buzz Lightyear and everything Disney. From day one, Carter has deemed Alex to be one of his best friends and "uncle."

Cheryl has been a great and true friend to us over the years. They first met Ashleigh on a camping trip with their wife Emily. Years later, Cheryl met Alex when he joined our friends' D&D Zoom adventures. Cheryl first met Alex in person when they came to pay their respects at his mother's funeral, which showed the depth of their compassion and support for our growing friendship. We are so happy to have Cheryl as our officiant on this special day!

Sara and Ashleigh became friends through the MSU tailgating scene 15 years ago via mutual friends, many of whom share the passion of being a school mental health professional. Sara (psychologist) and Ashleigh (social worker) both worked together at one point in the Shiawassee area schools. They've shared years of adventures from "Color Runs," cider/wine tastings, softball, dancing, and girls weekend trips. Sara is a close Lansing friend and is known for her love of squirrels!

Mandy is the "MSU Tailgate master", the "welcomer of people," the "party whip." As one of Ashleigh's close Lansing girlfriends, they've shared many adventures through softball, camping, brewery tastings, local jazz & 90s music dance, and karaoke nights. Mandy, a fellow school mental health professional, worked in the same school system as Ashleigh at one point. Mandy is excited to welcome you to the ceremony and to the dance floor!
